Is MSI the only installing features that allow the user to select which
profile to install the program in? Win 2000 and up are the only OS that can
run MSI, correct?

My boss wants me to fix the installer to allow the tech person to install it
once not for each profile on the same computer. I am currently using Wise
installation 9.02 and it does not have that feature. I downloaded the Wise
for Windows Installer and it has that features and it only creates msi file
not exe setup file and when I tested it on older OS, it will not work.

Am I missing something or what?

You can install MSIs on Win9x/ME
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/isapi/gomscom.asp?target=/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=CEBBACD8-C094-4255-B702-DE3BB768148F)
and NT4.0/2000
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/isapi/gomscom.asp?target=/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=4B6140F9-2D36-4977-8FA1-6F8A0F5DCA8F)
using Windows Installer 2.0.  You can also install MSIs on Win2000/XP/2003
using Windows installer 3.1
I am not sure what version of Windows Installer Wise Installer 9.02
supports, but I would guess that its MSIs are compatible with older versions
of Windows Installer.

UGH
Now I understand and I check the wise homepage, I would have to use Wise
Windows Installer to create the MSI.

Thanks
