Do you know where I can find a database containing pre-entered data for
software product barcodes (including the Brand, Product name, Version &
Edition?

This needs to be compatible with Microsoft Visual Basic 6 (SP 5 & SP 6), as
well as Microsoft Access 2003.

As I wish to use it in an academic software development project and by the
way the data needs to be real.

Google came back with http://www.upcdatabase.com. It's a user supported site
where people submit whatever they find, so accuracy is not garanteed.

Most sites will charge you for this kind of data in a downloadable format.
Most of the time, you submit a UPS to search for and the site returns what it
knows about that code.
