This is another reason why folks should be using their real names and not
stupid aliases.  Now when we have two or three different "nobodies" trolling

Yes I know he was, Kevin, hence my sarcasm.

Actually I never considered that possibility, although his post did seem
strangely out of character. Now that you mention it I can see that his post
/apparently/ comes from the same time zone (-0400, wherever that might be)
but it does seem to have been created using a different version of Outlook
Express (apparently version 6.00.2900.3664) wheras all the other "Nobody"
posts I have just looked at appear to have been created using version
6.00.2900.3028. I must admit that I don't know much about the different
versions of Outlook Express, nor do I know how to "fiddle" newsgroup
postings or emails, so I cannot really be certain that anything in those
headers is actually kosher. By the way, I agree with what you say about
people using false names on the group. I always suspect that there must be
something seriously amiss with people who do that. An obfuscated or a false
email address is usually fine (avoidance of spam and all that) but a false
name is very suspicious.

Have a look at my response that is marked in the text as having been posted
by me at 22:19 UK time using aioe.org. I posted a message containing the
same test word two minutes earlier at 22:17 UK time using
news.microsoft.com. I can already see the aioe.org message both here and in
Google Groups but I cannot yet see the message I posted twp minutes earlier
using news.microsoft.com. I'll check again later just in case it does turn
up, but I suspect not. Also, in a minute I'll send another test response
using news.microsoft.com that does not contain the test word, just to ensure
that the news.microdoft.com message are actually getting through from here.

OK, well I see three of your messages, viewing from Microsoft's servers. Were there any others?

I've seen this news server drop messages before. I've had some of mine drop in the past which I
attribute to technical issues on their end.
