Should I try to be a ABAP programmer? I enrolled on a SAP course... I heard
that the salary on this area is very good... Do you know anything? But I
dont know what a ERP is, but I'll try.

I'm trying to drop out VB6 to earn more money.

Thank you

ERP is Enterprise Resource Planning, but no idea what ABAP is<g>.

Since I suspect that you are in Brazil, I don not know what fields are
better paid, so I can;t say anything to answer your question.

Make sure that the salary is better in the area that you mention before
you decide to drop VB. Regards, Saga

Ehh, Allgemeiner Berichts-Aufbereitungs-Prozessor might be good, but
why drop one for another?
I use C, C++, VB, C# , (Fortran, nah, but i try) and Java as needed, a
"reporting" tool as ABAP (or COBOL might be a away to describe it, now
they will kill me at work) might be an complement.
Well PL-SQL or T-SQL is good to know too, and handeling Crystal report
for example, but look for what you want to do, want to try something
different try out "Fjoelnir", an Islandic language from the 1980:s
Havent had a look at abap, but, havent messed around with SAP either,
do you need to drop VB to get into abap? or Fjoelnir ;)

Not trying to talk you out of learning abap, trying to not "drop"
anything...

The suggestion about fjölnir was a bit/should be read as a joke, or me
trying to make one...

My Idea is to just add another language sometimes, why not, started on
a small base
(BASIC, VIC-20 somewhere in 1983) and now got the hang of and
programming and not dropping anything.

Paulo, dont drop VB, just add to your skill ABAP - thats my
recomendation, or my 5 cents.

But look at this, isnt it a nice language?

;; Hello world in Fjölnir

"hello" < main
{
   main ->
   stef(;)
   stofn
       skrifastreng(;"Hello, world!"),
   stofnlok
}
*
"GRUNNUR"
