"I want to emphasize that Visual Studio Magazine is here to serve you. With so
many big and exciting changes afoot, we're more anxious than ever to hear the
opinions and input of developers and managers. What can we do to improve VSM? What
kinds of stories, content, tutorials and interaction are you looking for? And how
can these things be tuned to help you do your jobs better? We want to hear your
ideas -- e-mail me at mdesm***@1105media.com."

Thought you'd all want to know.

Not that anyone here needs *encouragement* to share their opinions.  :-)

Thank you for the heads up.  It was my pleasure to leave some feedback.
Maybe even in a civil manner.  Well, sorta.  <g>

Yeah, something along those lines.  I tried to be tactful.  <g>

It's pretty thin, but mine arrives free.
Unfotunately, most of the good stuff in on line and not in print.
So the throne room library is SOL!

Yeah, mine was free for years, but I think it finally quit coming.  Just as well.
The only thing worth reading the last few years were Pat's columns (he's gone now)
and the Letters.

"We want to hear your ideas"

I would add " about .NET". I was subscribed to VSM for years and noticed that
they only do pieces on current products, so all VB6 coverage ceased back
in 2002 when the first .MESS came out. Since then it seems that when some
one brings up VB6, there is a slew of "famous" people implying that VB6
developers are Brain-dead Obsolete Freaks.

Also, the magazine was devoted to Visual Basic, but I guess once the new
platform kicked in there wasn't enough to write about the "new and improved"
Basic, so they just merged all the languages together and VSM is a result of
this. Even so, the magazine seemed to keep losing mass and got to the point
where once I wondered whether it was the "real" magazine or a special
supplementary issue. :-S  Saga

Tell 'em you think that's useless crap, if that's the case, and what it'd take for
you to resume caring about their pathetic little offerings.  WTH? <g>

Pretty much, yep.  My last regular "classic" contribution was Feb 2003.

Dolts.  These are all folks with serious insecurity issues, who need to put down
others to feel better about themselves and the crappy little products they feel
required to defend.

Now, with this latest change, it's not even devoted to development anymore!
