When I was loading cd errors came first cd.  I clicked on retry several times.
I think I bought it from amezon about 8 months ago.  I loaded it on my
previous computer .  Now I got new computer and hence loading on the new one
and erasing on the other.  Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

You'll want to post that question in a .Net group. They all contain "dotnet"
or "vsnet" in their names.
This and all other groups on the MS server that start with
"microsoft.public.vb" are for VB Classic (VB versions 1-6) and were in
existance long before any .Net products were released. While some of the
code looks the same, they are very different products and require a
different set of groups.

Try one of these:
news://microsoft.public.dotnet.general
news://microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.vb

This canned response is starting to be "my most used" <g>. Starting to wish
it were a web based forum where the topic descriptions show before opening
and browsing the group.

The advice you'll get from this group is to throw the CD in the bin and try
a different language.

Having said that your problem seems to be media related and not to do with
the cursed .NET, so first ensure the disc is clean, if it still fails see if
you can read it in another PC, if nothing will read it you will need to
replace it.

If you can read it elsewhere copy the content to your hard drive (or burn it
to a fresh disc) and install from there. If this is the case you may want to
tell your PC supplier the drive is faulty while it is still under warranty.
