Hey, this Windows Vista is good! It's just popped up a box telling me:

"Windows update might require an update before you can install updates for
Windows"

Nice.

That should be "could chuck chucks" I believe. (going from a fish called
wanda).

Just to add to the varieties, the one I've always heard is:

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

To which the response is:

A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a
woodchuck could chuck wood.

So basically, the wood that a wood chuck would chuck initially depends on
whether the wood chuck could chuck wood. Still, assuming that a wood chuck
could chuck wood, that answer is somewhat ambiguous and, of course, if a
wood chuck could not chuck wood then it is a moot case. Ok, I'm set<g>.

Where would Windows update to get up to date if Windows could
update to get updates for its update?

Windows would update as much update as Windows could update
if windowsupdate could update Windows.

How could you update if Internet Explorer can't get through the
firewall? <g>

Better yet, how could you update if IE can't get through the firewall to
allow it to get an update that allows it to update through the firewall?
<bigger g>

Could be worse.  What if the update for the update requires an update?...

And then the update for the update can't be installed because there
is an update already installed that is newer than the update for the
update that needs to be installed.

Besides the riveting discussion on the wood chuck's chucking capacity, and the
update to an update, there is a lovely ambivalence in that message: Windows
update *might* require an update? Is that a nice way of saying it will, or a
fanny cover just in case in does? Are you supposed to do anything about it?
