Cannot compile project using "File->Make Project.exe"

Jason Barnett

I've made a change to an application and proceeded to make a new .exe,
however "File->Make Project.exe" is disabled. I've even opened a new
project and tried to make an .exe from that (without changing anything).

The last time I was able to make an .exe was 4 days ago. Since then, I've
applied critical Windows updates. Has anyone witnessed this problem before?
Does anyone know a solution?

Never update again? ;-)

Try going through a few of these. There's bound to be something that'll fix
your IDE.

Although I still don't know what caused the problem, I found a solution. I
right-clicked the menu bar; selected Customize; and clicked Reset. I found
in the following article;
