During the installation of Visual Studio 2005 and .NET Framework 2.0,
apparently a Global Themes folder is supposed to be installed under
WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ASP.NETClientFiles.

This folder doesn't appear to have been installed during my installation of
VS 2005 and .NET Framework 2.0.  No amount of Reinstall/Repair on either VS
2005 or .NET Framework 2.0 seems to fix this problem.  There was no prior
version of VS 2005 installed (nor VS 2003) but .NET Framework version 1.1
was installed prior to installing VS 2005/.NET 2.0.

Has anyone else seen this problem?  How do I get this folder to be
installed?

Thanks,
Phred

Did you ever get a response to this?

Hi Phred  and Irokosoft,

Welcome to the MSDN newsgroup.

As for the Global Themes folder under .net framework 2.0's asp.net client
file folder, they're not existing since ASP.NET 2.0 RTM have postpone this
feature. You can view the list of features postponed from BETA to RTM of
ASP.NET 2.0 in the following article:

#Features postponed for ASP.NET 2.0 Beta 2
http://msdn.microsoft.com/asp.net/whidbey/beta2changes.aspx

In addition, if you're going to define and add your own global themes for
your webserver, the global theme setting is still supported. Just create
the Theme folder under each IIS website's aspnet_client folder and put
whatever theme we like there.

Hope this helps.

Yes, as mentioned in the article, dynamicImage is postponed due to some
performance and reliability consideration.
