Can we set allowpaging as well as allowsorting together?

certainly you can. It's just up to you keep it so that it works reasonably
together. (Like that you might want the page index to go to 0 when sort
order changes, so that changing pages apply to the sort order in question,
however that of course depends on what you look for, what does the customer
want)
